First Baptist Church of West Point is a missions minded church. Our members give regularly to the Southern
Baptist Convention Cooperative Program, and we also participate and give to the yearly Southern Baptist missions offerings for State, National, and World Missions (Alma Hunt Offering, Annie Armstrong
Offering, and Lottie Moon Offering). We also support the Good Neighbor Center, which is a charitable organization that strives to help those with financial and physical needs of folks in the
West Point community and surrounding area. First Baptist Church also has a food pantry that is available to provide canned goods and non-perishable foods to those who are hungry, as well
as a Benevolent Fund that is used to help folks who come our way with financial life needs (rent assistance, help with utility payments, etc). We recently had a mission team from our church go
to Guatemala and do hands on missions work in a village there. As a church, we believe that we are all called by the Lord to fulfill His command, to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit".
